Hardware
     In creating a HTPC, software is only half of the equation.  Hardware is the other part.  We think we have the software right.  However if we don't, we'd appreciate your feedback/help in resolving any issues.  

     In terms of the hardware, I came up with the KnoppMyth Reference Platform.  Essentially, if you get this hardware, it should just work.  For a while, I attempted to contact several vendors to no avail.  This changed at the end of '04 when I was contacted by Bob (Human on the forum) of Mythic.tv.  Together, we certified the Dragon.  Several years later, the Dragon 2.0 is available as is the Australian Dragon.  

     The Dragons is by no means the only solution for a system that just works.  From the very beginning, we've have a hardware section on the forum.  This section is divided into 3 areas:
  1. Tier 1:  Hardware that just works.  Here, you find recommendation from users with hardware that just works.  KnoppMyth was installed and without further tweaking, everything just worked!
  2. Tier 2:  Hardware that works but requires the tweaking of a configuration file(s).  If you hardware is Tier 2, please work with us to ensure it becomes Tier 1 in a future release.
  3. Tier 3:  Hardware that doesn't work.  Please provide as much detail as possible.
